A members-only DIY club in Rijeka. A place where music is the reason you come, not the soundtrack to your bar tab. Built by us, for us, and we mean that literally, from the cables to the calendar.
We record, write and take things apart to see how they work. If something doesn't exist, we make it. If it breaks, we fix it. If we don't know how, we learn and then share it with you, so you don't have to dig through forums from 2009. Our YouTube has almost 150 sets by DJs from the region and around the world, and alongside them there's a blog and a newsletter for people who like reading something longer than a story. We care about how a party actually gets made, why a small room sounds the way it does, and how technology can be a tool for making things, not just for ads.
Members-only sounds elitist? It isn't. Nobody at the door sizes you up from your sneakers up. A membership isn't a VIP wristband, it's your vote on what the scene should be. Join, and you're no longer the audience, you're part of the crew. So much for elitism.
We don't book names because they're big on some festival poster. We look for young people with serious taste and headphones around their necks, people whose sets hold things no algorithm would ever find.
Every now and then we bring in a legend. Nicky Siano, who started The Gallery in New York in the seventies, has played here – yes, that one. But even then the rule doesn't change: music first, everything else after.
